A dirty surface…
The kitchen is an integral part of your daily lives. We boil water for pasta or rice, we prepare a dish in sauce, we grill meat… And all this makes our hotplates very dirty and some traces tend to have more difficulty in leaving than others ! So how do you go about it ?
Clean as you go
Whatever type of hotplate you have (electric, gas…) as soon as you see the slightest bit of dirt, you should clean it immediately. In fact, nothing could be simpler : just wipe it with a damp cloth before it dries and that’s it. If you don’t do this, the stain will eventually settle and become though, so… it will be very difficult to remove !
Removing stains with bicarbonate
A natural solution ? Bicarbonate of soda ! As well as being environmentally friendly, the mixture of 1 litre of water and bicarbonate of soda is very effective in removing any stains on your hotplate. However, don’t hesitate to scrub the hotplate intensively, rinse off all the product and dry with a cloth.
Another alternative : white vinegar
Don’t have any white vinegar at home ? Go to the supermarket and get some immediately. It is an essential product that is effective for all types of surfaces : microwaves, toilets and hotplates of course. More specifically, it is used to remove limescale stains that are created after cooking water for pasta, for example… simply spray white vinegar on the plates, scrub, rinse and dry.
